Can ZeroShell be configured handle traffic shaping across multiple ethernet LAN interfaces (e.g. five) to a single WAN port?

We're looking to deploy a simple and inexpensive routing and bandwidth shaping solution that will limit five indpendent LAN-based ethernet ports (PCI cards in a Linux PC) to a maximum input speed of 2Mbps each, all routed to a sixth ethernet port that's connected to a shared 10Mbps Internet connection.

Data traffic isolation between the five ports is very important (i.e. completely firewalled from each other) but the unit must handle NAT so standard Internet services (such as web-browsing and email) are transparently managed by ZeroShell's firewall services.

Before downloading ZeroShell, then installing and configuring the software - we just wanted to know if it was possible. Any tips or advice would be most appreciated.

Yes, it is possible.
But take in mind that you can shape only the outgoing traffic.

I think that this is the case you want to solve.
