|
|
Hello all...
SO if we follow the ZS PDF docs to install to a hard drive, and we try to boot ZS from said HD...we get the Kernel Panic error... and it goes into Probing USB and SATA....then never boots....gives the
kernel panic not syncing vfs unable to mount root fs on unknown-block 1,2
Yet...if we shoot this to a usb drive...it boots fine.
Ideas?
Thanks all.

Turns out to be something in the machine we were trying to use. I took the drive and put it in another machine and it booted fine.
Thanks anyway....please see next USB nic question.
Thanks

i think the problem is with the bios of your motherboard
i had just about the same problem as you and solved it in this post i wrote http://www.zeroshell.net/eng/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1939
you basicaly have to delete the first partition, recreate it fat and use syslinux instead of grub |
