So - is there a way with IPTables Parameters to make domain specific rules so I could put QOS on Microsoft Update traffic during business hours? Question

We have a ton of non-domain member computers that come in and out of the warehouse and they kill our connection when we boot them up to work on them.

so basically - I'm trying to find a way to reliably identify the Microsoft Update traffic not just for that, but also for any computers that come in from clients or guests.

WSUS isn't realistic option right now.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

FWIW - We tagged the packets on the firewall; allowing us to pick them out of the flow and apply a QOS rule to it.
