Hi,
I'm running beta 10 alix image and want to upgrade to beta 11.
(I have found out the hard way the instability of the transparent proxy under 10)
How can I install beta 11 on my flash - preferably without removing it from the device - while keeping my current profile?

Backup the profile and the restore it on a compactflash with the beta11. Sorry, but you need to remove the CF from the ALIX socket.

Thanks for reply.
The next question is how to backup and restore a profile?
I can ssh into the device and find what looks like a database directory - so I guess I could scp it somewhere. However, if there is a non-shell backup/restore method I'd prefer to use that.

In the section [Setup][Profiles] of the web interface select the profile that you want to backup and press the [Backup] button. To restore the backup, in the same section, you have to select the partition and then press the [Restore] button.
