If you have not created and activated a storage profile, the configuration is stored in RAM and hence it is volatile.
From [Setup][Profiles] you have to create a partition on disk (USB, SCSI, SATA and IDE) and then select it for creation/anctivation of the profile.
After the activation of the profile the configuration and the data will be permanently stored.
