Hi,
I recently purchased an ALIX 6b2 board and a Sierra Wireless MC8775 UMTS module.
I have tried to get it working in Zeroshell but with no luck.
I am using the SIM Card slot on the top of the ALIX board, not the underside SIM.
When I issue the command “lsusb” I get the following.
root@zeroshell root> lsusb

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
root@zeroshell root>
The Sierra card is being shown as the first line:
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1199:6812
I have configured the device in the “Network” Section of Zeroshell but the “show log” has the following:
11:29:04 pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
11:29:20 Connect script failed
11:29:20 Exit.
11:29:24 pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
11:29:41 Connect script failed
11:29:41 Exit.
11:29:45 pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
11:30:01 Connect script failed
11:30:01 Exit.
11:30:05 pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0
I have tried /dev/ttyUSB0, USB1, USB2, with APN, without APN, etc and it still does not connect. The SIM Card has no pin number on it.
Does anyone know if modifications need to be made to the ALIX board to enable the SIM slot?
What else could be wrong?
Thanks
Tom
