alternate hard drive install

i know there is a guide on here for using the usb image to install ZeroShell to a hard drive but this assumes the hard drive is empty etc.

is there any way of getting the standard linux files of the distro (the /boot /etc /lib /mnt etc files) in some kind of zip file so that we can just copy onto an existing parition on a hard drive, presuming grub already exists on the hard drive etc.

i looked on the CD iso image but it didnt look very linux os like.

any ideas?
