Avoiding use of Certificate

I understand that the authentication traffics for Captive Portal is being sent in https format for security reason. This, however, introduce a bit more complexity when clients trying to make connection (having to click Yes to install the certificate, AND to accept unsecured certificates from untrusted CA). Is there a way to avoid use of https (and hence certificates) altogether in the Captive Portal authentication process ?

No, there is not in the current release.
In the future I want to make configurable if SSL is required or not.

Is there a config in the DB I can edit manualy to stop the use of the cert until you get the gui to do it?
