Firstly, a lot of thanks to Mr Fulvio for this very helpful distribution.
I installed zeroshell 3.0.0 on a supermicro motherboard with 2 onboard Intel ethernet. I have also added 2 additional ethernet pci cards on the same machine.
However, the 2 onboard intel lan cards are not showing:

ParticipantZeroshell 3.1.0 includes a new version of the module e100e.ko that should view any PCIe Intel Ethernet interface.

MemberI too am having the same issue with the on-board NICs for my SuperMicro board as well but had been living with it since I didn’t yet need the extra ports. Super
I’m trying to get the on-board NIC for a SuperMicro A1SRi-2758F system board which uses the C2000 SoC I354 Quad GbE Controller onboard.
From Fulvio’s response, I thought for sure that 3.1.0 would solve my issue too… Well, I finally got around to testing 3.1.0 and the newer drivers are still not finding my on-board NIC.

...The problem controller is the i354 adapters (00:14.0-00:14.3). The 82576 add-on card is working just fine. I know the card is supported by Linux since booting to a live CD or a rescue disk yields a working network.
I’ve looked into manually compiling the module myself but haven’t yet found the time for that (and I can’t seem to find the kernel source for 3.1.0). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ParticipantProbably your chipset required an updated version of igb.ko module. This is includes in the packages 48d00 (Kernel with more updated Hardware Support).

Thanks for the information! I’ll look into finding that package and getting it installed (I see 48800, but not 48d00 at this point… still looking…).
I’m sure you get many messages thanking you for your work. I just wanted to add to those and give my own thanks. ZeroShell is a great product that I’ve come to rely upon heavily. I’ve now implemented it in two organizations to protect internal networks.
Thanks for creating a stable product that provides many advanced features that would normally cost significant amounts of money to purchase in more heavily commercialized products.

On version 3.8.0, the same problem is exactly the same.
Tried version 3.7.1 and 2.0.RС3 – the result is the same.What to do?
