Restoring 2.0 RC2 image to VMware VM?

Been using 1.0 r16 for a while now, pretty stable stuff. The VMware download works well as long as some form of VMware Tools is running to support auto-shutdown.

What tool was used to make the 2.0 RC2 disk image? I’ll need to use this tool to restore it to a VM disk and add vmtools to it. I’ve read somewhere else that I’d need to specify the LSA SAS controller instead of LSA (parallel) SCSI for the disk. Maybe I can use a tool from a Live CD to restore it?

Create a virtual machine and create virtual HDD. Download the ISO image of the RC2 and specify the virtual machine to boot from the ISO image. In the Web Console Zeroshell initialize the disk and create a profile. All you can work with.
