    I’m also having a problem with my usb wifi device, and it sure IS supported in Linux (Alfa AWUS052NH, works perfectly in Debian with rt2800usb)

    It shows up in Wifi-Manager as wlan0 “Unknown Model”, but when press N to to create a New SSID it says:

    ERROR: it is not possible to create another SSID on wlan0:
    – The max number of virtual AP is 4.
    – Only one SSID can be set in Station mode and must be
    created after the creation of the virtual APs.

    (This message comes immediately after pressing N, so it doesn’t even let me choose AP or Client Mode; this even happens when there are no other SSIDs)

    What is the problem? I only need client mode – other ways to set this up?
