At the moment the latest version of Zeroshell you can use on Hype-v is version 3.4.0
Version 3.5.0 is using a linnux kernel that does not work with hyper-v

Sorry This has been fixed in Zeroshell RC3 I forgot to update the forum
That bit about Browsers Excuded from the popup window should have said added like Gecko If you just add Gecko it allows all Firefox browsers as well.
After some further testing this problem has self corrected.
All I did was remove Zeroshell from the trusted sites list. This caused the failure to redirect to the captive portal login screen to re occur. I then added the captive portal to my favorites. This caused the captive portal redirect to work once again. Then I removed the favorite and The captive portal redirect continued to work.
I have also now added Gecko to to the list of Browsers Excuded from the popup window. This Allows use of both the Meto and Desktop browser versions on the Surface RT to login without the popup remaining open.
The log information is the same for both so it is not possible to turn off the popup for just the Metro browser.April 20, 2012 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Internet Explorer 9 redirect to user requested URL #52266
This looks as though it may help
Having Just created a new virtual machine for my windows 7 client I now find that the updates work. I then turned the captive port and proxy on again and find that the operation is as expected I can get windows updates after I have opened a browser session and logged in. So it looks like just another Microsoft Bug as the first machine works on another internet connection.
Thanks for the reply. the error code is indeed 80244019 not 8024419 as I originally stated. However the wsus policy has not been applied to this machine so the key refered to in the article does not exist.
